Limousine and other passenger directed vehicle rates

Limousine and other passenger directed vehicle rates

Limousine and other passenger directed vehicle operators must charge rates that are approved by the Passenger Transportation Board (Board). These rules about rates ensure passengers are charged reasonable and predictable prices for transportation services.

Limousine rates and rules

The Board sets the minimum and maximum rates operators may charge. Operators may choose to:

  • Provide hourly chartered rates outside of that rule, or
  • Charge point-to-point rates, or
  • Charge individual (per person) fares

Operators must tell customers what the rates and charges will be before the trip starts.

Other passenger directed vehicle rates and rules

The Board establishes standardized rules for other passenger directed vehicles (PDV), including shuttles, that are not operated as limousines. Other PDV operators may choose to:

  • Provide hourly chartered rates, or
  • Charge point-to-point rates, or
  • Charge individual (per person) fares

Operators must tell customers what the rates and charges will be before the trip starts.
