General information

The Passenger Transportation Board (Board) is an independent administrative tribunal in B.C. established under the Passenger Transportation Act.

The Board's primary responsibility is to make decisions on special authorization applications relating to:

Passenger directed vehicle authorizations (e.g. taxis, limousines, shuttle vans)
Inter-city bus authorizations
Ride-hailing (TNS) authorizations

Territorial acknowledgement

The Passenger Transportation Board acknowledges the traditional territories of the many diverse Indigenous Peoples in the geographic areas we serve.

With gratitude and respect, we acknowledge that the Board’s office is located on the traditional unceded territories of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples (Songhees and Esquimalt), who are the traditional keepers of this land and whose historical relationships with this land continue today.
